The going away present from our parents was one night in a hotel each month of our trip. We saved the one from September and stayed at  Seri Pacific Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for two nights in October (€87 in total, paid online on Expedia). It was lovely, but we have to admit most hostels or guesthouses we stayed so far were definitely pleasant enough too. Nevertheless, a nice change to stay in a hotel!

Spacious Rooms at Seri Pacific
Large and Comfortable Bed
Nice and Clean Bathroom
Fancy a Bath?
Or do you prefer a Rainshower?

Our room had a really large bed, an aircon and a private bathroom, complete with bath and separate shower! All the accessories you expect in a hotel were there (toothbrush sets, soap, towels, hair dryer, shower cap, cotton balls), and more. There was a television in the room, fast WiFi, faster wired internet, a refrigerator, an electric kettle (with coffee and tea) and even an iron and ironing board!

There were a lot of businesspeople in the hotel, so we had to swimming pool almost to ourselves. The breakfast was a feast! We could choose from an elaborate buffet with both Western and Malaysian breakfast. There were all kinds of bread, croissants, sausages, fruit and cookies, but also noodles and rice with different sauces and curries. You can also get your eggs cooked on the spot just the way you like it. Definitely a change from the toast and butter breakfast most hostels serve.

Lots of Options in the Breakfast Buffet
No Breakfast without Dessert
Delicious Omelettes Cooked on the Spot
Pool to ourselves at Seri Pacific

The hotel is situated next to an LRT-station (public transport) and across from the Sunway Putra Mall. We went to the mall for dinner and lunch, but just relaxed by the pool for the rest of our stay. We used the public transport (very cheap and a train every 10 minutes or so) a lot during our stay at  Sahabat Guesthouse in Kuala Lumpur so the hotel’s location is definitely a plus.

We really enjoyed our two-night stay at Seri Pacific Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and especially loved the breakfast. Looking forward to our next hotel stay!
