During our 3 week stay in Chiang Mai in 2015, we had plenty of time to explore the local food scene. Being the digital nomad paradise Chiang Mai is, lots of Western food places started popping up. One of those places is Beast Burger.

Beast Burger Chiang Mai anno 2015 – Our first visit
It was December 2015. We were 3 months into our trip around the world. We’d visited Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia, and were now back in Thailand. We’d eaten more rice in those 3 months than the rest of our lives combined. So the burgers from Beast Burger were like a gift sent from heaven. They were the juiciest and most flavourful burgers we’d ever eaten. The fries were delicious (we Belgians know it best) and the BEAST sauce was divine.
At the time, Beast Burger was just a little yellow food truck with a regular spot. They sold 2 kinds of gourmet burgers: the Beast Burger (฿140) and the Double Burger (฿200). A portion of their delicious fries cost another ฿50. We ordered one of each and devoured it, sitting at the tables set up in front of the Beast Burger Food Truck. It honestly tasted like heaven.
Beast Burger Chiang Mai anno 2017 – Our second visit
We were so impressed by the burgers from Beast Burger, that ever since, we compare every burger we eat to the Beast Burger. We kept wondering if they were really that good, or if it was because we tried them after 3 months of rice and were just craving for something different. We had to go back to find out. So in July 2017 we visited Thailand for the third time, together with some friends.
By then, Beast Burger had grown from a gourmet food truck to a modern burger joint. They now serve 7 kinds of gourmet burgers, including a vegan one. Prices have risen a bit, with a regular Beast Burger costing ฿190 and a Double Burger costing ฿250. They have an indoor seating area where you can watch the chefs assemble the burgers, and a rooftop terrace where you can watch the stars. Just order at the counter and choose the spot you like best.
Beast Burger Chiang Mai, the best burgers in the world?
We verified it, Beast Burger serves one of the best burgers we’ve ever had. Even after having had burgers around the world (literally), we still think it might just be the best burger we ever had. If it wasn’t for their yearly holiday, there definitely would have been a third visit in that same week in 2017.
Beast Burger succeeded in their mission: their burgers are so delicious that we came back for more. So when you ever find yourself in Chiang Mai, you should definitely go try their mouthwatering slices of heaven for yourself! #expectationmanagement
